Vision and Mission

Structure fires have the potential to cause the greatest harm to the community of South Australia and to the firefighters who fight them. We aim to reduce the personal and economic impact of structure fires on the community of South Australia through better preparedness of our firefighters. We will strive for mastery as structural firefighters and do this by providing the world’s best contemporary training and equip our firefighters with the safest equipment.

The MFS currently protects the South Australian community from the effects of structure fires through the actions of our firefighters who continually place themselves at risk to do so. We provide policy, training and equipment to our firefighters to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to safely and efficiently extinguish structure fires.
