AusAlert

AusAlert is Australia’s new national messaging system, currently being developed to send emergency notifications directly to compatible mobile devices during emergencies and disasters. Once operational, it will help keep people informed and support them to take appropriate action when it matters most.
In this online awareness session, you will learn:
- What AusAlert is and how it will deliver emergency notifications
- The types of emergencies that may result in an AusAlert notification
- How notifications will be received on compatible mobile devices
- The different AusAlert notification types
- What to do if you receive an AusAlert notification to help protect yourself and others
This session contains audio and video and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Before beginning, ensure your device’s volume is set to a comfortable level. Closed captions (CC) are available and turned on by default.
