Disaster Risk Reduction Grants

The Disaster Risk Reduction Grants Program supports initiatives which proactively reduce risk and limit the impact of disasters associated with natural hazards on SA’s communities and economies.  Taking action to address the causes of disaster risk, will strengthen resilience and enable communities to withstand, adapt and continue to thrive in a changing environment.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction Framework is the main guiding document for the grants program.  All expressions of interests must align to one or more of the priorities identified in the Framework.

A total of $2m is available for the State Strategic Projects stream and $1.58m in grant funding is available for the Disaster Risk Reduction Grants in 2020-2021.
